Bibs, Bibs, Baby Bibs!!!

These are the very first bibs that I've ever made. I think they came out really cute!  I've seen so many different variations on different blogs, so it's kind of hard to create an original idea!!  So, this is what I came up with using all the ideas that I've seen.

These are for a friend who is having a baby shower, I will probably make about 2 more.  I won't be able to go but I hope she really likes my gift.

Cute Huh!!  I used denim for the fronts and cotton for the backs.

After taking about an hour to sketch 3 different bib styles.  I decided on the classic neck tie bib, as the first one to be sewn.  I didn't want to deal with sewing neck holes, Velcro, or button snaps just yet! I wanted it to be easy.

I traced out my pattern with a 1/4 seam allowance and cut it out.

I ironed out my fabric for the front strip, the back and the neck tie.

I cut out the strip size I wanted and also the back part.

I stitched a zig-zag on the edge of the strip and added decorative stitching to the top and bottom.
Then sewed  the two pieces together (right sides together), leaving a 2 inch opening at the bottom .

After flipping it to the right side out, I pressed it and then stitched around it.   Then I pinned the the neck tie on.

Yay, I'm almost done!!  After pinning, sewed the tie all the way across.

Thank you for stopping by!! Hope you enjoyed my photo's and like my bibs!!  Hubby says I should make a ton and sell them!! Hmmmmm, great idea!!  I should start selling my stuff! We'll see how that idea goes. Would you buy something like this if you saw it!!  I need some feed back. So leave comments, I appreciate it!
