Happy New Year's to everyone! Goodbye 2013.....Hello 2014!!!

Sorry guys I've been MIA for a couple of weeks! I'm down to the last 20 days in my pregnancy.....it's been pretty busy around here getting things ready for our baby boy!  Now that everything is washed, prepared, packed and assembled it's a waiting game now.  We are so excited and blessed for this new chapter in our lives!  I have lots of belly pics among other daily pics from my life on instagram if you'd like to see @fifiybr.

I want to wish everyone a blessed and prosperous year!  I hope to write more posts this year....with a new baby we'll see how that works out! Lol!

Pictures and Words Wednesday! A couple of pregnancy questions too!

Today is the day....I've finally hit the half way mark in this pregnancy!!  I still can't believe this is really happening, then I get a nice swift kick to my guts to bring me to reality.  Those little toes are too active. ♥☺

 

Most parents have dilemmas and these are some of mine...

 

They range from stressing out over kids clothes sizes....which I shouldn't have to worry about just yet...but I do.  I worry about if I'm going to be a great mom.  Will I cry if the baby is crying....see I'm nuts.

 

Here are some of the more important issues that are currently on our brain.  My doctor has given me a due date in the 3rd week of January!  I have a question for other moms that might happen upon today's post.  Since I will be a first time mom,  should I expect to deliver before or after my due date?  I do plan on working until I can't waddle through the front door anymore.  The Hubs has asked if I would like to be a stay at home mom......which I would guess is most moms wish to do.  Don't get me wrong I so want to stay at home with baby, helloooo I'm not carrying a tiny human for almost 40 weeks just to have someone else take care of them.  But, even though I want to stay home I feel guilty....why...because I wouldn't want to put all of the responsibility on the Hubs.  Financially we are great, that's not the issue.  It's hard to explain how I feel, I was raised by a single mom, who taught us to be very independent, so sometimes I want to take charge of things and situations. I have the most amazing husband, he has provided me with all of my needs and has given me most of my wants.  I definitely have no complaints.  I just feel that I am capable of working to provide for my family as well.  I guess I'm just thinking too much.  I have some decisions to make pretty soon.  What do you think?

Pregnancy Questionnaire

How far along: 20 weeks

 

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 2LBS

Maternity clothes: Definitely

Stretch marks: Nope

Sleep: Sleeping is uncomfortable

Best moment last week: Feeling the baby's movements more and more!

Movement: lots of swishing going on! 

Food cravings: Seafood, spicy foods, watermelon, and chocolate milk

 

Food aversions:  lettuce & sweet or sugary stuff (boohoo) 

 

Gender: Still a secret.....though it has slipped to a few and they have sworn secrecy until the day we announce!  This is sooooooo hard, lol!

Labor signs: None, thank goodness.

Belly button - in or out? in, but the bottom half is starting to stretch. GROSS!

 

What I miss: energy and sleeping on my stomach
What I am looking forward to: Finally revealing the baby gender.

Milestones: I've finally reached the half way mark in this pregnancy!!

Yes I have been missing in action.  I know, I know I have been a very bad bloggerista.  But I am happy to say I only have 3 more week till the end of my semester.  Thank goodness. 

Again, I have a lot of half finished projects just waiting to be finished. I've also kind of been in a crafting funk.  Too much studying is going on.  I even told theHubs that I was in a crafting funk.....his reply was "babe you deserve a break, you have too much going on right now." So that's exactly what I've been doing "breaking", lol!  Not breaking stuff just taking a break.  Don't worry the breaking is almost over.  I went to JoAnns last Friday to browse/shop.  Picked up some new thread, a couple of fat quarters for 99cents- woohoo, some fabric remnants and a new plastic box thingie to hold my bobbins.

I will try to post again soon.....I just wanted to catch you all up on what was going on.

This is what's been going on in my world......

Hi everyone.....yes I'm here.  I've been so busy with school and work I haven't had time finish any of my latest project or to even write a post.  School is crazy busy....lots of studying and tests - my brain really hurts.  And work....oh my!!  Thank goodness this is a short week, plus the hubs and I are on vacation next week.  Yay!!  

I want to thank everyone for visiting and staying with me....I haven't lost anyone yet. ☺

Well here are some pics to share what I "have" been up to lately.....if you follow me on Instagram then you've probably already have seen some of them.  Sorry this post is picture heavy and some pictures are not the best.

My b-day was on 2/20 and my besties b-day was on 2/15, her gift to me was a night of painting and drinking....well not so much drinking of alcohol, more water.  We were driving separate cars so we couldn't drink. 

My gift to her was half of the "Best Friend" charm from JamesAvery, this is my half.  I had a few charms put on my bracelet this past month.  The "I♥Crafts" was from my sweet hubs.

These two charms were from my brother and his family.... "PreciousAunt" because I am the coolest auntie around and "SweetTea" because I do brew a pretty darn good batch of tea! (",) 

Yes, I got my birthday crawfish boil with all of the fixings!!  Thank you hubs they were sooooooo delish!

Here is my niece Milan at the crawfish boil.  Isn't she the cutest! She's 2 1/2 going on 18, the little diva.  

Glad to spend time with my sisters! I love them!

All the hard work in the back yard is paying off....look at all the flowers that are blooming. 

Knock out roses, dianthas, poppies, Yellow Ladybank roses and lots of other stuff too.  We are currently having our patio built, so I can't wait to be out there hosting something or just relaxing with the hubs. 

Weekend watching movies and eating icecream....could there be anything better?

Sunday morning breakfast for the hubs and I - making pancakes from scratch.....yummy!

I'm back from my vacation!

Hi everyone.... you probably didn't even realize I was gone.  That's fine, lol!!  

Well I did actually take a vacation and just added another week.  Can I be honest, It was awesome not being on here.  I didn't have to worry about posting or creating or doing the mad rush to add my new project to linky parties.   Sometimes the blog can just take over your whole life and I realized I didn't want that to happen.  If you do come by to check out my projects you know I try to post one once a week....with a few random posts here and there.  Well I'm going to have slow down on posting a project every week.  In my head I was thinking maybe once every two week.  Still thinking about it.

"fruits" from the garden

Sadly, not my garden.  I don't even have a garden and the last time I checked, none of my flowers were sprouting fruits or veggies.

This yummy snack was from my friends garden!! She was sweet enough to give me some.

I'm Here!!

Where have I been you ask....well just here!!  I do have a life outside of blogland, lol!!     I've been sewing gifts for baby showers, sewing aprons for my 3 nieces and getting house chores done.....<----blahhhhhh!! I was also on vacation last week!! So I didn't really feel like getting online,so that's why there are no new posts.!!  My honey and I just enjoyed being off!

I've also been getting things prepared for my Halloween craft day with my nieces and nephews this Saturday!!  I hope that they'll always want to do crafts with their Auntie or remember silly things we would do together!  I know there will be a point where they'll think they're too old for crafts or the silliness!! So I want to get my time in, while it lasts! ☺

Do you ever do anything silly with your nieces,nephews or kids?  

One thing that we do is talk with our fake British accents!!  My sisters and I have always had a fascination with the accent.....I love it! When we were little,we would have pretend talk shows, or do scenes from movies, played baby sitter, dressed up with moms clothes and we'd always incorporate an accent.  Back then we were 8, 5, 1 and today we're 31, 28, 24.  We'll still call each and have whole conversations with accents, my mom thinks we're nuts...but she said she still loves us, lol!   So now the older nephews (6 and 7) will have conversations with us in their British accents too!  It's great!!  I love that we have that silly bond.

The hubs and my family combined is pretty big!!  We have a total of 18 nieces and nephews,  7 on my side and 11 on the hubs side, also 5 great nieces and nephews on his side too!!  That's a lot of gift giving from us!! And there is still all the brothers and sisters and their spouses.  Crazy huh!!  I'm the oldest of  4 and hubby is the baby of 4. 

 I don't have children but I ♥my nieces and nephews as if they were my own!! 

   I am Happy, we're Happy and that's what matters most!

I must say....it was kind of nice to stay away from all of the technology!!!  <kind of>, lol!!  I still got onto Facebook!!

My vacation was awesome......soaked up some sun, maybe a little too much! eh....it happens!

yay....a small milestone! This is my 50th post!! (big whoop, right)

Wow, 50 posts!  It only took me like 8 months to do it! lol! Well whatever......


So, down here near Houston we've been getting very small rain showers.....It like pours in one area and does nothing in another!!  That nothingness is generally located around my house!!  REALLY!!  Come on clouds.....make some rain, my plants are thirsty for it!  Yes, we water but nothing is better than the rain.  Well I hope it rains over my house today.....highly unlikely, but a gal can wish.... right!


Well, I'm working on a new sewing project....(pictures will be up soon)!  I'm refashioning a summer dress, I had to buy it! Well that was 2 years ago, lol! It was on clearance for 5 bucks...yay!!   Why are you refashioning it, you ask.... well it's like 5 feet too long, and I'm very short....thanks mom!!  Why did I get stuck at like 5 nothing and my sister is 5'5 annnnnd I'm older than her.....('~')....okay that's for another day!!   Back to the dress..... it's way too long and the top is some elastic-e thing with two strings that tie around your neck.  1) i have no neck. 2) the girls can pop out unexpectedly.....which probably wouldn't be a problem for some....but I have dignity....and my gals don't like to be exposed like that...lol!

Updates!!

I apologize for not posting more, its just I'm working through a "things to get done" list that suddenly seems to get longer and longer by the day. And I'm trying to reorganize my craft room....it's just a jumbled mess.  I'll post pics of the before and after for the room!

Well I've been yo-yoing it up....well actually I've been cutting circles for the yo-yo's!!  I think I'm gonna make a quilt or maybe seat covers !! I haven't decided on that yet.   One decision that has been made is that I'm gonna get a sewing machine.....yay!!  I'm really excited about it, since I'm a newbie at sewing with a machine my honey told me to do my homework, and do research on them (i.e.  brands, pricing)!  So, if anyone one has advice or what brand to recommend....Please, oh Please leave me a comment!!   It will be greatly appreciated.  My little sausage fingers are tired of sewing/stitching by hand....lol!

Also, much like my jumbled craft room I'm also thinking of revamping this blog!!  I need to focus more on it!!  "I'm scared", lol!  -  I think this will be a work in progress.

Ok, so I have officially neglected this blog....shame, shame, shame on me!!   I've had so much to write about, but I have been so busy.  Now if I write, it will be like sooooo 2000late!! lol!  So I'll just start a new post with some current events that I got going on or see on the news that are interesting to me!!

wow, this is kind of scary!

Well this is my very first Blog....  Yes, I'm late with all of the Internet blogging thing.  I told myself I would start a blog and do something quite amazing, different, and exciting.  Of course this was all after seeing the movie Julie&Julia....I was like hey, if she could do something that was so cool and out there then maybe I could too!! 

Sadly that never happened!  I started my spring semester of college and I was taking an Drama class....so now I think I just want to be famous and be in movies and make lots of money and so on... but that's kind of a hard thing to do!!   So we'll see where that road leads.   Even if I never become some A-list actress I just want to be in a movie....just to know how to do it.   I'm not talking like porno....gross! lol!!   But a real MOVIE!!   Maybe be an extra in one of George Clooney's movie....(he's pretty hot, and I doubt I would care if I had a speaking role or were just getting his plane ticket in the scene)!!  Then I want to write books, or maybe write songs.....I just want to do everything.   But, for now I'm getting my degree in Medical Diagnostic Sonography.   I'm glad that I have a very supportive hubby who is always there to encourage me in whatever I do... "LoveYouB!"

Okay....that's way off of the subject I was intending to write out.   Anyways, this is my first blog.  I hope to write many, many more others in this upcoming NewYear!!   I hope that people will read what I post and like what I have to say.....if not I really don't care this is really for me!  So yeah we'll see where this thing leads me.
